The 1st of The Four Great Fire Festivals of the year & the final harvest festival before Winter, Halloween (a.k.a. Samhain) is when the veil between us & the dead is the thinnest. What we celebrate in the US has deep origins but has been completely perverted. Day of The Dead is another remnant of this ancient holiday.
