Beric, I am quite certain that I do not know of “teaching you etiquette”. You are always so kind and have great manners… for a mortal. Now why don’t you have an ale and shut-the-fuck-up. 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you Hecate for your informative and interesting conversation, very stimulating and thought-provoking, I have always wished to communicate with you, but was a little bit at a loss what to say.
Now I realise that if I am respectful and gentle, and think before I speak, that would be more acceptable, thank you for teaching me the etiquette I sadly lacked.

Seriously. I forget how you Celts… “live”. I will however sample the fare because of the reputation.

Well it’s been a very unusual day here in the British Isles, leaving the European Economic Community after 47 years, muted celebrations as you can imagine, but it will take another 11 months to finalise all the agreements of trade between the Isles and mainland Europe.
I suppose I should be role-playing and wishing everyone a Happy Imbolc, and ordering a flagon of ale, Dervla (Carolyn) has just gone to bed as it’s 2AM. I hope I find everyone here in good health.
I found something interesting, the seven grades of the Filidh, the lowest rank was a Fochlac, who practiced his/her skills at being an accomplished orator, the insignia that was pinned on their tunic was a sprig of brooklime, to become a Fochlac they had to compose ten worthy compositions, to undergo six difficulties or challenges and in their life time be the author of thirty accepted tales.
The next Filidh is the determined son or Mac Fuirmidh who’s insignia was a sapling in his lifetime he had to give six philosophy speeches that were informative to other Filidh and compose forty poems that would be accepted by his fellow Filidh.
The Cana regarded as the singing Filidh usually with the accompaniment of a lyre, composing 40 poems that can be used also as lyrics, and creating and performing 110 tales. The next in status is the Cli or Pillar, to be able to recite 40 poems and orate 30 tales, and to be fluent in sign language without speech to communicate to other Filidhs which was regarded as the secret language only known to the Filidh.
Anruth, the noble stream who specialised in tales of places, tales of ancient wisdoms, poetic chanting to induce a trance, finally the Ollamh, the master or mistress of the word. Who could recite 100 spiritual poems, perform 120 orations about a mixture of themes, orate 170 historic tales, and to have knowledge of the 4 secret arts of divine poetry.

Thank you, last evening was fun, I have several relations in America, sadly we have lost contact, when USAF Bentwaters & RAF Woodbridge were in full swing, many of the service people use to relax around the Halesworth area.
I got to know quite a few, through a mutual friend, those who chose not to live on the Base, lived around the Woodbridge area, so seeing large American cars was on a daily basis, as for your President, I do understand, sadly he is both a business & media personality. But it’s not everyday we see Air Force One flying at an incredibly low altitude ready to land at Lakenheath.
In the Eighties the Rendelsham Forest incident happened, a mile away from Bentwaters, the so-called alien close-encounter, that’s only ten miles from where we live.

Please make sure to ask the RAF to drop our “President” off at cruising altitude, for America’s sake. Just wishful thinking.

LOCH DUBH SCOTTISH SINGLE MALT is probably the strongest thing on AHF birthday boy. You can actually find that in RL, I recommend it!

Sorry there was a cliché on my side goddess Pohjantahti, (my apologies, I meant a computer clitch from the British Isles) plus my consumption of three Indian Pale Ales, but thank you for the offer of a sahti, much appreciated, I always enjoyed your posts on AW. And Mogh’s.
Wow! Pohjantahti, that Sahti was very strong, mixed with the three previous IPA’s it’s gone straight to my head and legs, and made me too lucid for my own welfare, as I’m now retired and writing being my favourite pastime, I was wondering if I could create some articles in Rome, that might reflect Ancient Worlds. Net.
Perhaps I could even venture into the unknown territories of Egypt, although my experiences in Egypt at Ancient Worlds left much to be desired. Oh Well ! I have the habit of blundering through the cyber-world like a British missionary, I suppose. But I will give both Rome and Egypt some serious thought.
Thank you Eyvisl, Telon, Pohjantahti, and the voluptuous goddess Hecate, show me an image of Eva Green and I go weak at the knees, it’s been a wonderful birthday blast, for my wife Dervla and I, who doesn’t really deserve the title of sir, we both wish our American cousins a warm goodnight as it’s now 3AM in the Island over the pond.

Happy birthday to Beric! 1st rounds on me! Do not take that literally, I do not want to have to wash my furs again.

I think I’m going for the “Pretty sure it’s my neighbor’s goat but I was really drunk” dish. BTW, I’ll need a lot of ale to make this go down… but it actually smells really good.

I like what’s been created here these few days.
I am going to be snowed under tomorrow and Monday, so if I appear, that’s fine, but otherwise… I’m making sure I’ve LOTS of that mutton to bury under in these here parts.

New tavern up in the Americas. I know I did not carry on the name from AW (as that was not my invention) but as I edit it, there will be a reference.
The new one is now up, needs more food and drink, (and pretti-ness) but it does have enough to keep most of us happy through the blizzard I’ll be experiencing Real Time tomorrow.
The Zapping Zapotec Bar, Tavern, and Grill… Drop on by!
Meanwhile, while I am here. More absinthe, as I really want to know if it will make my heart grow fonder.

Thanks, Mogh!!! Both for the beer/mutton, but mostly for the advice! I have a couple busy days ahead, but I think Wednesday I’ll have something available to go forward with.
BTW, EDIT: Mogh, so as not to overly clutter this pub, I sent you a private message. At any rate, I’m always willing to try some absinthe for the hair of the hound effect.

@mangascochise I am excited that you are building a venue!! Please create a city to place it in(forum) and dictate the “parent forum” in the right column of the editing screen. We (including you if you would like) will be creating regions based on the cultures & named thereafter with cities w/i. Your bar/tavern or whatever should be a topic within a city OR make it a forum that has various topics like “At the Bar” + “Dancefloor” (where you can embed videos & throw events, for example. Please let me know if I can help with how were are (currently) doing iit here. BTW, here is your Big Damn Beer & Roast Mutton my friend!

I’m up for the Big Damned Beer and that Mutton Platter. NEVER turn down mutton…
This place you’ve got here, Mogh, looks fun and cozy.
Meanwhile, I am beginning to work on a tavern over in the Americas, which will appear in the Meso region, to be named Playa del Pulque. (P0ssibly, the name may change as this builds…) But, due to the nature of my thirst, I’ll be visiting taverns left, right and all around the world.

It feels stupid -to me- that we are in the same house right now messaging each other rather than talking to each other. Ha!
*EDIT/UPDATE: We were LITERALLY in the same room shamelessly trying to generate content on the Daily Activity Board when we posted these last 2 replies. -
