Living In The Age Of Information & Conspiracy Theories :

A conspiracy theory, is a way of looking at a single event and postulating that maybe there’s a lot more to it than can be seen on the surface, the acceptance that perhaps darker forces are behind the whole thing.

Modern conspiracies expands on this topic, becoming an entire philosophy, as a way of viewing the world, hopefully I will not be concerned with the imaginations of political and religious upheavals, preferring to look on the lighter and humorous sides of the conspiracy theories.

Science Fiction deals with the possibilities of the future, where Conspiracy Theories can deal with the possibilities of the past, present and future, they’re are elements of Science Fiction that make me smile, like a large painted sign spelling Top Secret Research Facility, outside some sensitive government project.

      The Travelling Spiritualism Circus :

When the idea of spiritualism became widely accepted as an unusual form of entertainment, travelling performers created a very popular theatrical experimental shows that travelled from town to town.

Hypnotizing the paying public beneath the canvas of the big top, and performing séances to call up the dead spirits and loved ones of their enraptured audiences, these performances contained all the familiar trappings we know associate with contact to the Otherworldly realms.

The illusion of floating furniture, the scrying images of the crystal ball, the rapping communication from all positions of the marque to add to the eerie atmosphere created by the performers, the hypnotic trance of the medium who was a vocal specialists, so-called channelling obscure voices from the distant past.

A travelling local historian who’s first port-of-call was the local library to research on the behalf of the medium, the use of special sound effects, what started in private homes became a big business growing into regional and national theatre tours, the first idea of conventions for enthusiasts and true physic believers.

The most popular performance of the medium was a trance monologue, with information supplied by back stage circus people listening to the queuing public, these back stage performers would even barrack the performer with vocal words of scepticism,  provoking the theatre of conflict.

The medium would then verbally pull the sceptic to pieces as his rowdy rudeness was greeted by hidden knowledge and fake astonishment which would take place, making the sceptic to leave the tent in a hurry.

Stonehenge Was Created By Alien Technology :

While scientist can’t seem to find a rational explanation on how somebody without any engineering knowledge managed to move stones the weigh 50 tons, some experimental historians believe the answer is quite simple and have proved it by rolling logs and wooden A frames.

Yet ancient astronauts theorists also believe the answer to the age old question is also quite simple, but professional people refuse to accept it, aliens helping humankind to evolve.

      The Phantom Time Hypothesis :

This historical conspiracy theory was first published in 1991 and it basically states that 297 years of our Earth’s history didn’t exist, the amateur historian Herbert Illig, the author of this conspiracy, believes that the events from 614-911AD have been faked !

That includes the entire Carolingian period and the figure of Charlemagne, according to Herbert, one of the main reasons we shouldn’t believe these 297 years  actually took place is the scarcity of archaeological evidence from that period of history.

      Moon Theories :

Bizarre and otherwise, the capture theory, the moon was a wandering asteroid that formed somewhere elsewhere in the solar system and was captured by Earth’s gravity as it passed near by, giving rise to the theory of pre-moon Earth, in contrast, the accretion theory suggested that the moon was created along with Earth at its formation, finally, according to the fission scenario, the new Earth was spinning so fast that material broke from Earth to create the moon.

The Hollow Moon Theory, thanks to Nasa experiment of crashing the landing gear of the space craft back into the moon’s surface, its hollowness rang like a bell for more than two hours, giving rise to the theory that the moon is an alien-made satellite, with aliens closely observing life on Earth.

The Moon Does Not Exist Theory. The huge lie has followed Earth history for centuries, always with different explanations, the latest mad cap theory is its an alien created heavy hologram, to tell the people of Earth that they’re not alone in the universe.

      Crazy Conspiracy Theories :

What with the belief that the Earth is flat, to the world domination of the Illuminati or Freemasons, and theory of fake moon landings, mad cap conspiracy theories abound today in all forms of the media, there’s also magazines that specialise in weird facts and conspiracy theories, which can be amusing while your waiting to see the dentist of the doctor.

As some of our politicians come out with the strangest of ideas, and we have religions all over the world that impose the idea of extra-terrestrials and heavenly realms, no wonder the Discovery Channel is so popular.

Prince Charles Of Great Britain Is A Vampire ! There’s many people on the net that seem to believe this theory, because according to the genealogy records, it looks like Prince Charles is descended from Vlad the Impaler, who was the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’.

The British Prince appeared in the Romania’s National Tourist Office advertisement, where he jested with the cameras that. ‘Transylvania is in my blood’, he continued to joke about his distant ancestor Vlad, which sparked off the internet conspiracy theories.

In 2017, Prince Charles was offered the title of ‘Prince of Transylvania’, because of his links to the region and the promotion of Transylvania as a tourist destination.

All these facts added to the conspiracy that the Prince is a vampire, what made the conspiracy worst was the medical condition called Porphyria, commonly associated with royalty, an iron-deficiency that makes the human skin sensitive to daylight.
